Date: January 19, 2019

Event: Dancing with the Stars of Smyrna and Online Auction
A dancing competition modeled after the television hit, Dancing with the Stars. Sixteen Smyrna “celebrities” will be paired together to work with a choreographer and perform entertaining dance routines at a semi-formal event. All money generated through sponsorships, ticket sales, program sales, and online voting will go directly to the Campbell High School Athletic Dept. and participating Booster Clubs. An online auction will run the week leading up to the dancing event. Campbell student athlete families will be asked to procure donations from community businesses.

Venue: Jennie T. Anderson Theatre – Cobb Civic Center; 606 seats

Tickets: 606 tickets @ $55 – $75 (TBD)

Contestants: Prominent leaders and community “celebrities” and those closely connected to CHS and feeder schools will be selected as contestants. Nominations will also be solicited from the community.

Choreographers: Contestants will take on the expense of lessons, props, and costumes for their routines and may work with the choreographer of their choice. Jones DanceSport in Marietta has offered to donate choreography and assist teams with selecting themes and mixing music. They will offer private instruction to contestants interested in working with them to perfect their dances for a discounted rate of $65/hour.
Judges: Three local celebrity judges will evaluate the dancers and add entertainment to the event through humorous and supportive comments

Sponsorships: Several levels of sponsorship opportunities will be available including a Presenting Sponsorship and Dancer Sponsorships.
